The Original Dance competition was completed today. Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin came second in this segment of the competition. Their performance of their Aboriginal dance proved their improvement in technical skills and power. The audience appreciated their performance in these unusual roles. Of course the guys have more work to do: their step sequences were only awarded level 3 and 2. This caused a minimal loss in this portion of the competition, where Italy's Federica Faiella and Massimo Scali came first. Despite being second in the segment, the guys mantain and increase their lead by 5.12 points.

Today, at the Russian Nationals, we witnessed the debut of the new Free Dance "Passion". The dance explores different aspects of a relationship between a man and a woman, unity and antagonism of masculinity and femininity, the contrast between romance and everyday life. According to the guys, the deep emotion caused by the desire to show this beautiful dance, might have not allowed them to perform it at its full potential, and they admitted to some technical blots. However, this did not prevent them to become 2010 Russian National champions, with a free dance score of 103.06 points (46.75 for technical elements and 56.45 for program components), and a total score of 214.77. Congratulations to the guys on their third National title, and best of luck for future competitions!
